Teaching Assistant - KS2 Support, Maths Interventions & Class Cover - Haringey Primary School
A forward-thinking Primary School in Haringey is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistant for a September 2026 start.
This Teaching Assistant role offers a strong balance of intervention work, classroom support, and occasional responsibility for leading the class for short periods when the class teacher is absent, using pre-set work and guidance.
You will play a key role in supporting pupils' progress, particularly in Maths, while also helping to maintain consistency and positive behaviour in the classroom environment.
The school is seeking a confident Teaching Assistant who can build strong relationships with pupils, work effectively as part of a team, and step up when needed.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
Delivering Maths interventions as a Teaching Assistant
Supporting pupils in KS2 with targeted learning needs
Leading small group academic sessions as a Teaching Assistant
Supporting classroom learning across Year 5
Occasionally supervising the class for short periods in teacher absence
Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
