Some Nursery Manager roles are about maintaining standards.
This one is about building them.
We're recruiting on behalf of a welcoming nursery in East London seeking a confident, resilient and hands-on Nursery Manager to lead the setting into its next chapter.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nursery Manager or strong Deputy Manager ready to take ownership of a nursery where your leadership, energy and vision will genuinely make a difference.
About the Nursery
This is a warm, homely nursery with capacity for 30 children and a dedicated team of 6-7 staff.
The setting currently cares for approximately 25 children and prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to thrive.
With an on-site chef, regular outings and a strong child-centred ethos, the nursery provides children with engaging experiences both inside and outside the setting.
The Opportunity
The owners are looking for a strong leader who can work closely with the Deputy Manager to continue developing a positive culture, strengthen standards and support the team to perform at their best.
This is not a role for somebody who wants to sit behind a desk all day.
Whilst you will oversee operations, compliance and staffing, you'll also be visible within the nursery, supporting children and practitioners where needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the day-to-day operation of the nursery
* Supporting and developing staff performance
* Building a positive, accountable team culture
* Managing safeguarding, compliance and health & safety
* Coordinating staffing and absence cover
* Supporting children, families and practitioners
* Maintaining high standards of care and education
* Working closely with the Deputy Manager and Directors
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who:
* Has previous Nursery Manager or strong Deputy Manager experience
* Can confidently lead and motivate a team
* Is organised, proactive and solutions-focused
* Has strong safeguarding and operational knowledge
* Is comfortable managing challenging situations
* Communicates effectively with staff, families and external stakeholders
* Is confident using nursery management systems and technology
Most importantly, we're looking for a leader who enjoys developing people and creating a positive environment where children and staff can flourish.
What's On Offer?
✔ Salary of £36,000 - £39,000 per annum
✔ 40-hour working week
✔ Excellent public transport links
✔ Ongoing training and professional development
✔ Support towards further qualifications
✔ Regular staff training days
✔ Team-building activities and staff events
✔ Christmas celebrations and social events
✔ Opportunity to shape the future direction of the nursery
✔ Supportive ownership team
Ready to Lead?
This is an excellent opportunity for a Nursery Manager who wants more than simply running a nursery.
It's an opportunity to influence culture, develop people and create a setting where children, families and staff genuinely thrive.
