Plumber – Reactive Maintenance (Part P Required)
Location: South London
Salary: £41,500 - £43,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Plumber – Reactive Maintenance
We are currently seeking an experienced Plumber to join a busy reactive maintenance team delivering repairs and maintenance services on behalf of a Housing Association across South London.
This is a mobile role working within occupied residential properties, carrying out a variety of plumbing repairs while delivering excellent customer service and high-quality workmanship. Due to the nature of the contract, candidates must hold a Part P qualification and be confident carrying out associated electrical works related to plumbing installations.
Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance within social housing properties.
*
Diagnose and repair leaks, burst pipes, faulty valves, and drainage issues.
*
Repair and replace taps, toilets, sinks, baths, showers, and sanitary ware.
*
Carry out pipework alterations and plumbing installations.
*
Complete repairs to hot and cold water systems.
*
Undertake fault finding and identify effective repair solutions.
*
Carry out minor electrical works associated with plumbing repairs where required.
*
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
*
Complete job reports and updates using a PDA or mobile device.
*
Deliver excellent customer service when working in occupied homes.
Essential Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Plumber within reactive maintenance, repairs, or social housing.
*
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent).
*
Part P Qualification (Essential).
*
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
*
Experience working within occupied residential properties.
*
Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
*
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
*
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
*
Experience working for a Housing Association, Local Authority, or Social Housing Contractor.
*
Multi-trade skills such as tiling, patch plastering, or carpentry.
*
Experience using handheld devices for job management.
