An exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business supporting the defence and surveillance sectors. Working within a production environment, you will be responsible for the assembly of prototype and production equipment, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical products from engineering drawings and work instructions.
Build prototype and production assemblies.
Carry out component modifications using hand tools and workshop equipment.
Manufacture simple brackets, mounting plates and tooling as required.
Record build modifications and complete change request documentation.
Liaise with Engineering and Production teams to resolve build issues.
Ensure all work meets quality, technical and health & safety standards.
Maintain accurate documentation and high workshop housekeeping standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience within a mechanical assembly, manufacturing or workshop environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Competent using hand tools and basic workshop machinery.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
Personal Attributes
Team player with a proactive attitude.
Keen to learn and develop new skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Organised, reliable and able to work independently when required.
