CNC Turning Machinist - Aerospace Manufacturing
Overview
Wild Recruitment is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer seeking experienced CNC Turning Machinists to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on precision components for cutting-edge aerospace projects.
Contract: Until July 2027
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc control systems.
Interpret and work from complex aerospace engineering drawings and process specifications.
Manufacture components to tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes.
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometres, verniers, bore gauges).
Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
Accurately complete all production and quality documentation.
Comply with Health & Safety and AS9100 quality standards.
Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure compliance with design intent and customer requirements.Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience operating CNC lathes in a precision engineering or aerospace environment.
Ability to programme and edit directly at the machine.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Familiarity with AS9100 standards (preferred).
Skilled in using precision measuring equipment and maintaining accurate documentation.
High attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining (preferred).Why Join Us?
