Randstad are seeking an experienced and highly competent Site Engineer to join our Wastewater Civils project team operating within the Surrey region near Guildford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a strong Tier 1 civils background to play a pivotal role in a major infrastructure environment. Reporting directly to the Site Agent, you will be a key team member driving quality, safety, and program delivery on-site.

Previous experience working on an AMP water framework or WWTPs is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

As a Site Engineer, you will balance technical engineering precision with strong site management support. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Setting Out & Surveying: Confidently and competently executing setting out utilizing Total Station and GPS equipment.

Quality Assurance (QA): Supporting, reviewing, and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and managing overall quality processes.

Engineering Review: Thoroughly reviewing project drawings and specifications; identifying discrepancies and raising RFIs and Technical Queries (TQs) with clear, supported evidence and comments.

Planning & Programming: Collaborating with the Agent and wider project team to plan upcoming works, feeding into and updating 4-week look-ahead programs.

Subcontractor Management: Providing engineering support and oversight to subcontractor engineers to ensure alignment with project standards.

Permits & Compliance: Reviewing, issuing, and managing site ITPs and permits to work.

Meetings & Reporting: Attending and actively feeding into program reviews, progress updates, and design meetings.

Experience & Competencies:

Tier 1 Experience: Proven track record working within a Tier 1 civil engineering environment.

Water Sector (Highly Desirable): Previous experience delivering schemes under AMP water framework is highly sought after.

Technical Skill: Fully autonomous and competent in setting out with Total Stations and GPS.

HSEQ Mindset: Thorough understanding of all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements and expectations surrounding civils delivery.

IT Literacy: Strong digital skills for managing QA documentation, drawings, and daily reporting.

Certifications & Requirements:

Valid CSCS Card (applicable to an Engineering role).

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).

First Aid at Work certification.

Full UK Driving License (essential for traveling between sites in the Fleet/Ripley/Bordon cluster).
