About the Opportunity
We are currently supporting the search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading consultancy team delivering major projects across Glasgow and the West of Scotland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded QS to take ownership of high-value, complex schemes across a diverse portfolio including education, residential, infrastructure, and public sector developments.
You will play a key role in delivering best-in-class cost and commercial management services while supporting the growth of a high-performing regional team.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for leading commercial delivery across multiple projects, working closely with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading full cost management services from feasibility through to final account
Preparing detailed cost plans, estimates, and commercial reports
Managing post-contract administration under NEC, JCT, and SBCC contracts
Providing commercial advice and risk management strategies across projects
Monitoring budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
Supporting procurement strategy and tender analysis
Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
Mentoring and supporting junior Quantity Surveyors
Contributing to business growth through bid support and client engagement
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Strong experience in a consultancy or client-side environment
Proven track record delivering large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
Excellent knowledge of NEC and JCT/SBCC contracts
Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
Experience across pre- and post-contract QS duties
MRICS chartership (or working towards) highly desirable
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
A proactive and leadership-driven approach
