Role – Landscape Architect/Planner

Location – London

Salary - £DOE

Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking for Landscape Architect with strong landscape planning and assessment experience to support a growing workload across a diverse range of development projects.

This position would suit a Landscape Architect who is confident producing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments, landscape appraisals and related planning reports with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing their own workload, undertaking site visits, carrying out landscape analysis and preparing clear, well-structured reports to support planning applications.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to projects from the early assessment stage through to planning submission, providing landscape advice that helps shape development proposals and identify opportunities and constraints within the landscape.

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT RESPONSIBILITIES

* Preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs)

* Production of landscape appraisals and supporting planning documentation

* Site surveys and landscape character assessments

* Assessment of landscape and visual effects of development proposals

* Preparation of mitigation strategies and landscape recommendations

* Liaison with planners, architects and other consultants

* Contribution to landscape concept design and landscape management plans where required

* Attendance at site visits and project meetings

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT REQUIREMENTS

* Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline

* Chartered status or working towards CMLI would be advantageous

* Previous experience preparing landscape assessments and planning reports

* Strong report writing and analytical skills

* Ability to manage assessment work with minimal supervision

* Good understanding of the UK planning system and landscape assessment methodologies

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Full UK driving licence
