Project Manager – Cut & Carve Commercial Project

Farringdon, London

We are a forward-thinking construction business with an established presence across the UK and Ireland, delivering complex, high-value projects across multiple sectors. Our values of commitment, collaboration, and care underpin everything we do with our clients, partners, and project teams.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a major cut and carve commercial development in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a technically challenging city-centre scheme, reporting directly into the Senior Project Manager and playing a key role in the successful delivery of the project.

This position offers exposure to a high-profile scheme with clear opportunities for career progression, structured professional development, a collaborative working environment, and a competitive salary and benefits package, including additional volunteering days.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Senior Project Manager in the day-to-day management and coordination of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will take ownership of key packages and interfaces, working closely with subcontractors, consultants, and the wider project team to maintain smooth delivery across a complex live environment.

You will assist in managing subcontractor procurement, programme coordination, and project logistics, ensuring all works are aligned with contract requirements and project milestones. A strong understanding of construction sequencing, particularly within cut and carve or structural refurbishment environments, will be essential.

The role will involve monitoring progress against programme, supporting short-term planning, managing coordination between trades, and ensuring timely resolution of technical and operational issues on site. You will also contribute to commercial discussions, including variations and change management, working closely with the commercial team.

From a quality perspective, you will help ensure that all works are delivered to specification, supporting the close-out of inspection and test plans, managing snagging activities, and driving a right-first-time approach across the site.

Health and safety will be a key part of the role, with responsibility for ensuring compliance with legislation and company procedures, supporting safety briefings, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, and promoting a strong safety culture across all site activities.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have proven experience as a Project Manager within a main contracting environment, with exposure to complex construction projects such as cut and carve, refurbishment, or commercial schemes in urban environments.

Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple work fronts, coordinate subcontractors effectively, and support senior leadership in delivering a successful project outcome. A proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team are key.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager looking to step into a major London project and progress their career within a forward-thinking and growing construction business
