On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Performance Engineer on an initial 14-month contract. You will be responsible for improving manufacturing performance through process optimisation, line balancing, and continuous improvement activities, while supporting production teams to achieve operational targets and drive efficiency across the manufacturing environment.
Role: Manufacturing Performance Engineer
Pay: £40.66 per hour Via Umbrella
Location: Broughton
Contract: Monday - Friday, 35 Hours per week -14-month contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain line balancing (SLB), STV data, and PERT charts to support efficient production flow.
Monitor manufacturing performance, identify efficiency gaps, and drive continuous improvement activities.
Analyse and reduce non-value-added activities, bottlenecks, and production losses.
Support build plan sequencing and industrial process optimisation.
Assess the manufacturing impact of engineering changes and production modifications.
Support production teams by identifying and resolving manufacturing issues.
Maintain relevant manufacturing data, tools, and standards.
Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to improve operational performance.
Regularly engage on the shop floor to observe processes and support improvement initiatives.
Essential & Desirable Skills:
Experience within a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience delivering process improvement or continuous improvement projects.
SAP experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Lineside Engineering experience.
Experience with build plan sequencing.
Line balancing and workload optimisation experience.
Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry experience.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence principles.
