£130 - £180 per day depending on experience and qualifications

A friendly and supportive primary school in the Oldham area is seeking a Year 3 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time maternity cover contract until April 2027. The school is ideally located for commuters, with excellent transport links from North Manchester, Rochdale, Tameside, Saddleworth and surrounding Greater Manchester areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment or an experienced teacher seeking a rewarding role within a welcoming school community.

The role

Teaching a Year 3 class from September 2026 until April 2027
Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Creating a positive and supportive classroom environment
Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
Contributing to the wider life of the schoolThe school

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Passion for creating engaging learning opportunities
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Enthusiastic, committed and adaptable approach to teachingThe school welcomes applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers looking for a supportive and rewarding teaching opportunity.
