Quantity Surveyor – High-End Residential Contractor – South West London / Surrey
Salary/Package: £65,000 – £75,000 + Travel, Private Medical, Pension, Discretionary Bonus, Annual Leave
O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a highly regarded high-end residential contractor delivering a portfolio of bespoke luxury residential projects for private clients across London and Surrey. Their schemes range from prime residential refurbishments, bespoke cut and carves andd extensions through to new build mansions, with exceptional levels of finish and craftsmanship throughout.
They are seeking to hire an experienced Quantity Surveyor with residential experience who is confident taking commercial ownership of their own project from procurement through to final account. The business has a growing pipeline of work and offers the opportunity to work on some of the highest specification residential projects in the market.
You will join a friendly, collaborative and informal team environment where individuals are trusted to manage their own workload and are given genuine autonomy. The company also offers flexible working, including two days per week working from home.
Role Overview
Title: Quantity Surveyor
Project: High-End Residential (Refurbishment & New Build)
Location: South West London / Surrey
Rate: £65,000 – £75,000 + Package
Start: ASAP but can wait for the right person
Type: Permanent
Responsibilities
Taking commercial responsibility for your own high-end residential project
Managing procurement and commercial delivery of subcontract packages
Cost reporting, forecasting and monthly valuations
Managing variations, change control and client instructions
Working closely with operational, design and client teams throughout project delivery Negotiating subcontract accounts and agreeing final accounts
Contributing to the overall commercial performance and risk management of the scheme
Requirements
Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a residential contracting or developer environment
Previous exposure to high-end residential, luxury residential or bespoke private client projects
Strong understanding of JCT contracts and subcontractor management
Ability to manage projects independently from procurement through to final account
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with clients and project stakeholders
Able and willing to commute to project locations across South West London, Surrey and surrounding areas as required
