CNC Miller (3 & 5 Axis) – Aerospace & Composite Manufacturing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Miller to join a growing aerospace and advanced manufacturing business producing high-precision composite and metallic components.
This role is ideal for a skilled machinist with experience setting and operating CNC milling machines who enjoys working in a quality-driven environment where precision, traceability, and craftsmanship are paramount.
The Role
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines, including 5-axis equipment, producing tooling, fixtures, patterns and finished components to exacting standards. You'll also support manual machining activities and play a key role in maintaining quality and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Set and operate CNC milling machines (3 to 5-axis).
Manufacture tooling, fixtures and components to engineering drawings and specifications.
Read and interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances.
Select tooling, set datums and offsets, and optimise machining processes.
Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
Complete production paperwork and maintain full traceability records.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality standards.
Assist with manual machining activities including mills and lathes.
Maintain safe working practices and high housekeeping standards.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
Strong machining knowledge across 3-axis and ideally 5-axis environments.
Manual machining experience using mills and lathes.
Experience with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls would be advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Experience within aerospace, defence, composites, or another regulated manufacturing environment would be beneficial.

Monday – Friday
Early Shift: 06:00 – 15:00
Potential opportunity for a late shift pattern in the future:
