Reception Teacher - SEN (Hackney) £160+ per day | August 24th or September Start | Temp to Perm | Full‑Time
A specialist provision in Hackney is seeking a dedicated Reception‑level SEN Teacher to join their team for the new academic year. The role begins August 24th (or September) and follows the Jewish academic calendar. This is a full‑time, term‑time position with a clear pathway to a permanent contract.
The school supports pupils working at early developmental stages, with a strong focus on communication, pre‑numeracy and pre‑literacy. You'll be joining a highly supportive team who prioritise structure, consistency and meaningful progress for every child.
What You'll Be Doing
* Teaching a small KS1/2 class working at Reception‑level developmental stages
* Delivering learning at pre‑numeracy and pre‑literacy levels, building early foundations
* Planning highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
* Working collaboratively with support staff and onsite therapists
* Creating a calm, predictable and engaging classroom environment
What We're Looking For
* QTS and experience teaching in Special Schools
* Strong understanding of early learning development
* Ability to differentiate for a wide range of needs
* A patient, nurturing and resilient teaching style
* Commitment to providing high‑quality SEN education
The Offer
* From £180+ per day, depending on experience
* Temp to perm opportunity
* Full‑time, 5 days per week, term‑time only
* Start date: August 24th or September
