We’re recruiting a Workshop Technician to join a busy engineering workshop working on a wide range of electrical and mechanical builds.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys practical work and being involved in the full build process, from goods-in through to final assembly and dispatch.
What you’ll be doing
• Building, assembling and wiring equipment
• Kitting jobs and supporting goods-in and goods-out activities
• Assisting with manufacturing, packing and dispatch
• Working closely with the Workshop Manager and wider teams to keep work on schedule
• Spotting issues early and helping put practical fixes in place
• Completing basic paperwork and job updates accurately
Projects range from small, short-term builds to large, complex systems. Equipment varies from bench-top assemblies to large floor-mounted cabinets.
What we’re looking for
• Experience in a workshop, assembly or technician role
• Good fitting, wiring and general engineering skills
• Ability to manage and prioritise tasks in a busy environment
• A practical, can-do attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Comfortable working across multiple jobs
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
The package
• £30,000 to £35,000 salary depending on experience
• 23 days holiday, increasing with service
• Bonus and pension scheme
• 4.5-day working week
