Maintenance Engineer – Foundry Environment
Location: Derbyshire
Salary: £56,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Nights Shift
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
* Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine and reactive maintenance on foundry equipment and machinery to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
* Mechanical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair either electrical or mechanical systems, including motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
* Problem-Solving: Use diagnostic tools and your expertise to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues.
* Interpret Engineering Drawings: Work from detailed mechanical engineering drawings to carry out installations, maintenance, and repairs.
* Health & Safety: Adhere to and promote safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
The Ideal Maintenance Engineer:
* Experience: Proven background as a Maintenance Engineer, ideally within a foundry, heavy industrial, or manufacturing setting.
* Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.
* Drawings Interpretation: Ability to accurately read and work from complex engineering drawings.
* Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) are essential.
