Senior Residential Children’s Worker
Location: Middleton, Greater Manchester
Salary: Up to £35,560 per annum
Hours: Full-time, permanent
We are working in partnership with a well established children’s care provider to recruit a Senior Residential Children’s Worker for their home in Middleton.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern, well run home that opened last year and has already achieved a ‘Good’ rating in all areas from Ofsted. The service currently supports three settled young people, offering a stable and nurturing environment for both staff and children.
You will play a key role within a supportive team, with clear progression routes and the opportunity to step into a Deputy Manager position in the near future.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead shifts, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people and staff
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual care plans
* Support and guide junior staff, promoting best practice across the team
* Contribute to staff meetings, supervisions, and ongoing development
* Safeguard young people and respond appropriately to any concerns
* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and external professionals
* Maintain accurate records and uphold strict confidentiality standards
* Support across other homes where required
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Experience within children’s residential care (EBD preferred)
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
