Are you an entrepreneurial Senior Solicitor ready to take full strategic ownership of a department within a Top 60 UK law firm? Taylor Rose Solicitors is seeking an ambitious Head of Property Litigation to lead our highly respected division into its next phase of growth. This is not just a standard management role; it is a high-profile opportunity for a driven leader to develop and implement annual department strategies and budgets, network internally for cross-referrals, and scale a talented team of fee earners and paralegals. Championing our 'Smart Modern Law' philosophy, you will drive revenue and influence mindset change across the firm while handling high-level, complex property disputes.

This role involves but is not limited to:

* Developing, implementing and reviewing a department strategy to support and deliver our company strategy.

* Formulating, agreeing and delivering annual department budgets.

* Networking internally to build contacts and generate cross referrals

* Managing recovery of cash and aged debtors.

* Developing, maintaining and reviewing monthly department KPIs and performance reporting.

* Passing department audits.

* Servicing clients in accordance with company policies and procedures.

* Delivering market-leading levels of customer service and communication.

* Ensuring technical competence through adequate training, support and succession planning.

* Understanding and managing department risks.

* Promoting company vision and values.

* Continually improving systems and processes to increase efficiency, improve customer experience and reduce risk.

* Assisting with recruitment within the property litigation department.

* Liaising with HR in relation to departmental training requirements.

* Providing technical and operational support to the department where required.

* Working with HR to ensure that all probation periods are dealt with effectively.

Requirements:

* Qualified solicitor or equivalent

* Good analytical skills

* Ability to handle complex and multiple case loads

* Experience of managing a department

* Accuracy and attention to detail

* Strong leadership and relationship building skills

* Ability to influence and drive mind-set change at all levels

* Proven track record of external networking, demonstrating the ability to increase workflow for a team
