Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! We are seeking an experienced School Business Manager (SBM) for a primary school in North Liverpool.

Main purpose

As School Business Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Headteacher and leadership team by overseeing the school's business operations.

Duties will include:

Leading and managing the school's financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting and monitoring expenditure.
Providing strategic advice to the Senior Leadership Team on financial and operational matters.
Managing HR administration, recruitment processes and staff records.
Overseeing contracts, procurement and supplier relationships to ensure value for money.
Ensuring compliance with school policies, safeguarding requirements and statutory regulations.
Managing health and safety procedures across the school site.
Supporting the management of school premises, facilities and maintenance arrangements.
Producing reports and maintaining accurate records for governors and senior leaders.
Working collaboratively with staff, parents, governors and external agencies to support the school's aims and values.Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar school-based business or finance role.
Strong knowledge of school finance, budgeting and financial management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Experience of HR administration and operational management.
A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate for Child Workforce, or willingness to apply.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach to work. Desirable Skills & Experience:

Experience working within a primary school setting.
Relevant qualifications in School Business Management, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
Knowledge of education finance systems and school MIS systems.
Experience supporting governors and senior leadership teams.
Understanding of health and safety legislation within schools.
