Our client has been a leading name in the Low Voltage Electrical Control Panel industry for over 50 years, delivering bespoke, one-off solutions across a diverse range of sectors. Every project is unique, offering fresh technical challenges and the opportunity to work on complex, high-quality control panel systems.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an additional Electrical Test Engineer to join their successful and supportive team.

The Role: -

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and quality of bespoke Low Voltage Electrical Control Panels before they reach the customer.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Testing and fault-finding on Low Voltage Electrical Control Panel assemblies.

- Identifying, recording, and helping resolve build and functionality issues.

- Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) alongside clients and design engineers.

- Working from electrical schematics to verify system performance and compliance.

- Collaborating closely with production and engineering teams to maintain exceptional quality standards.

- Ensuring all testing activities meet relevant industry regulations and safety requirements

The ideal candidate will have: -

Candidates must demonstrate:

- An electrical qualification such as ONC, City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent.

- Previous experience within a testing environment in the LV Control Panel or Motor Control Centre manufacturing industry.

- The ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.

- Strong knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations and industry standards.

- Confidence discussing technical electrical matters with colleagues and customers.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, production teams, and clients.

- A solid understanding of electrical health and safety practices.

- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

- Strong organisational skills and excellent timekeeping.
