Remedy is seeking a caring and dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to support pupils within primary school based in Lambeth.

This rewarding role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping children develop their communication, language, and social interaction skills. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, Speech and Language Therapists, and families to provide targeted support that enables pupils to thrive both academically and socially.

The position is particularly suited to graduates considering careers in Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychology, Teaching, or other child-focused professions.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils with speech, language, and communication needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Deliver targeted interventions and communication programmes under the guidance of teaching staff and specialists.
Encourage the development of speech, language, social interaction, and confidence.
Assist pupils in accessing learning opportunities within the classroom.
Monitor and record pupil progress against intervention targets.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children, ideally within an educational or SEN setting.
An interest in speech, language, communication, or child development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Relevant qualifications or experience in education, psychology, childcare, or SEN support are desirable but not essential.Why Work with Remedy?
