Quality Control Officer – 6 Month Cover (Potential Extension)
Location Blackpool
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Contract: 6 Months (Potential to Extend)

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Officer to join their team on a 6-month cover contract, with the potential for extension. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong quality background within a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will be responsible for maintaining quality assurance procedures, monitoring production standards, and supporting continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards

* Analyse production data and laboratory results to identify trends, deviations, and potential issues

* Develop, review, and update quality control procedures and documentation

* Work closely with production teams to resolve quality-related issues efficiently

* Carry out root cause analysis on non-conformities and recommend corrective actions

* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry quality standards

* Support internal audits and prepare documentation for external inspections

Requirements:

* Proven experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within a manufacturing environment (essential)

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data accurately

* Solid understanding and practical experience of HACCP principles (essential)

* Knowledge of quality management systems and industry regulations

* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail

* Previous experience in audits, inspections, or laboratory analysis is advantageous
