Quality Inspector
Aldridge | Permanent | Up to £34,000 per annum | 39 Hours per Week | Early Finish Every Friday
Our client, a well-established and growing engineering business based in Aldridge, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis.
Operating within the aerospace tooling sector, this is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working with precision-engineered components and small batch production.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out goods inward inspections on components received from the supply chain.
Supporting shop floor inspection activities, including first-off inspections and in-process checks.
Reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.
Conducting inspections using conventional measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, height gauges and other precision instruments.
Performing CMM inspections and producing accurate inspection reports.
Ensuring all products meet customer and company quality standards.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function.
Requirements
Engineering background, ideally apprenticeship trained.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings.
Experience with conventional inspection equipment such as micrometres, verniers and height gauges.
CMM inspection experience is essential.
Experience using QCT 3D PRO64 software would be highly advantageous.
Knowledge of Renishaw PH10M probe head with TP20 module is desirable.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with small batch production.
Aerospace, tooling, precision engineering or similar industry experience would be beneficial.
