About the Role
Connex Education is working in partnership with mainstream primary schools and exclusively supporting BWMAT schools across with their September staffing across BANES (Bath & North East Somerset). We are seeking enthusiastic and qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join our team for flexible supply, short-term and long-term opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in supportive school environments where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Roles are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preferences, as well as 1:1 SEN support and intervention roles.
We are looking for individuals who are positive, adaptable and engaging, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families. Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, helping pupils to develop both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
Deliver targeted interventions and small group activities
Provide 1:1 support for pupils where required
Assist teachers with classroom preparation and organisation
Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those with SEND
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Promote pupils' confidence, independence and wellbeing
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents/carers
Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
What We're Looking For
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – essential
Experience working with primary-aged children is desirable
Knowledge of the primary curriculum and classroom practices
A positive, proactive and flexible approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Connex Education
