This is a senior manufacturing engineering role with real scope to shape industrialisation, continuous improvement and factory capability. You will lead a team delivering complex engineering outputs in a highly regulated, precision focused setting with strong investment in long term development.

Essential requirements

Must be a British Citizen due to security and programme requirements
Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within a complex engineering or defence related environment
Background in engineering leadership or senior technical responsibility within a manufacturing setting
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate them into manufacturing build instructions
Experience working with cross functional stakeholders including design and production teams
HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or a degree in a relevant engineering subjectSalary and rewards
Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience. The package also includes performance related bonus potential and strong longer term progression within a highly specialised engineering environment.

Your role

Lead and support a manufacturing engineering team delivering day to day production engineering outputs
Drive continuous improvement activity across manufacturing processes and systems
Support design for manufacture and interface with design authority during product development phases
Oversee manufacturing methods, processes and equipment to ensure repeatable and robust production capability
Support industrial validation activity and contribute to manufacturing architecture planning
Manage workload prioritisation, team delivery and technical output standardsYour experience

Strong background in manufacturing engineering within a high complexity environment
Experience leading or mentoring engineers and managing technical delivery
Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience supporting non conformance processes and root cause activity
Familiarity with PFMEA and structured manufacturing risk analysis
Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team environmentBenefits and flexibility
