The role is heavily geared towards system safety, and this is a business-critical role. It is both key to ensuring the safety of current systems, but more importantly, systems that have not yet been conceived.

You will be working in a fast-paced R&D team who are conceptualising the next generation of aerospace systems. Systems that will define the aviation sector for the next two decades.

You will also be developing and recommending solutions to meet functional hazard assessments, preliminary system safety assessments, and system safety assessments

Senior Systems Engineer – Role Responsibilities:

Analyse industry requirements to help create design proposals from scratch for new designs.

Help, and lead, when necessary, design proposals to meet customer requests, and propose new designs to meet industry needs.

Capture requirements, writing system and sub-system specifications and descriptions.

Work through development assurance levels to understand potential failures, using fault tree analysis, failure mode effects analysis, and common cause analysis, on new systems.

Model solutions.

Deliver design reviews.

Validate design solutions.

Create verification specifications and standard operating procedures for testing and verification.

Over time, become the subject matter expert of system safety.

Systems Engineer – Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (BS) (or Professional Engineer (PE) certificate) in an engineering or science technical discipline, ideally aerospace.

Have previous working knowledge of ARP4761 and ARP4754, or demonstrable experience from a safety critical industry and proven capability at working on complete systems or products. (e.g. medical devices, defence or nuclear)

Knowledge of the aerospace product area and domain with a breadth of knowledge of industry practices, techniques, regulations, and policies, would be a significant advantage.

Be proficient with engineering design and analysis tools.

Ability to travel when required to US locations and Mainland Europe to support aircraft testing.

4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

Up to 10% bonus

Up to 17% pension

Excellent employee welfare schemes and programs
