SEMH Teaching Assistant - South East London - September Start - £100-£117 per day
Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a school in South East London from September.
The school supports pupils who may present with social, emotional and mental health needs, challenging behaviour, anxiety, low confidence or barriers to learning. This role would suit a candidate who is patient, firm but fair, and passionate about helping young people make progress.
The Role:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour choices
Helping pupils access lessons and stay focused throughout the day
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Supporting positive behaviour plans and personalised strategies
Working with teachers and pastoral teams to support pupil wellbeing
Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independenceThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience supporting young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour
Be confident setting boundaries and maintaining routines
Have a calm, consistent and supportive approach
Be able to manage difficult situations professionally
Have experience in schools, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring or care
Be available full-time from SeptemberThe Role Offers:
£100-£117 per day
