Senior Electrical Engineer
Bristol
£50000 - £60000
YT Technologies are currently partnering with Domin, a high-growth technology business that is fundamentally redefining motion control. They are combining additive manufacturing, fluid mechanics, and high-speed electric machinery to build the next generation of advanced hydraulic systems.
We are looking for a highly capable Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of the electrical architecture behind Domin’s test rigs and engineering infrastructure.
You will play a central role in enabling the development, validation and manufacture of next-generation hydraulic technology. Your work will directly support the equipment that allows our engineering teams to test confidently and scale effectively.
This is a hands-on engineering role in a fast-moving product development environment where speed, flexibility and technical judgement matter.
The Role:
Key Responsibilities;
* Own the electrical architecture, standards and engineering quality across Domin’s test rigs and development infrastructure.
* Define, design, review and approve electrical systems for rigs and development equipment, including schematics, panel layouts, interfaces, and guide the installation, commissioning and debugging process.
* Deliver electrical systems that are safe, maintainable, scalable and suitable for CE marking, while maintaining appropriate development speed and flexibility.
* Work closely with mechanical, controls, software, manufacturing and product engineering teams to develop high-quality systems.
* Support upgrading, debugging
Essential Requirements;
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
* At least 6 years’ experience designing electrical systems or equipment within an engineering or industrial environment
* Strong experience producing high-quality electrical schematics, documentation and manufacturing information for low-voltage industrial systems and equipment (230/400 V AC).
* Strong understanding of industrial electrical safety principles and machinery-related electrical standards.
* Experience designing electrical systems that balance engineering robustness with practical usability and development speed
* Strong technical judgement and ability to make pragmatic engineering decisions under uncertainty.
* Ability to independently own technical problems and deliver solutions from concept through implementation within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
* High levels of accountability, ownership and attention to detail.
Why Domin?
They believe great design leads to reliable, scalable systems. In return for your expertise, they offer a culture built on transparency and professional growth.
*
Work-Life Balance: A 9-day fortnight (every other Friday off).
*
Commitment to Growth: Significant investment in professional development.
*
Comprehensive Package: 5% employer pension contribution and a highly competitive salary.
*
The Environment: A modern, positive culture with breakfast clubs, social events, and a shared mission to disrupt a global industry
