Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Stockport. This setting supports young people across KS3 and KS4 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing structured guidance and tailored support to help them thrive both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities
Support students with SEMH needs across KS3 and KS4
Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement
Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support strategies

Encourage personal development and emotional wellbeing
Candidate Requirements
A 2:2 degree or above, OR a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Previous experience working in a UK school or similar setting (preferred)
Up-to-date Safeguarding training (within the last year), or willingness to completeEligibility:
Have the right to work in the UK
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
Provide two professional, child-related references
