Head of Electronics - Republic of Ireland
Our client is a leading commercial aerospace company based in Ireland, currently seeking a Head of Electronics to oversee the development of complex aerospace-grade electronic components.
In this role you will serve as the head of electronics, overseeing analogue and digital design teams as well as the test function.
Responsibilities;
* Managed a team of electronics engineers covering skills from analogue design, digital design, FPGA design, and test.
* Take responsibility for the delivery of all products, ensuring milestones, budget, and quality targets are met.
* Define people management structures, including but not limited to: professional development plans, mentoring, training and coaching strategy.
* Work hand in hand with production and manufacturing departments to ensure design vision translates into finished product
* Oversee the progression of products from concept, research and development, and design into scaled production
* Support with bid documentation by providing technical oversight and review
* Promote strong cross-departmental communication, ensuring that the electronics team works hand in glove with other engineering departments, production and commercial teams alike
Requirements;
* Degree qualified in electrical and electronics engineering.
* Strong experience of complex electronics design within aerospace and/or other safety-critical high-technology environments.
* Excellent people skills and management experience.
* Ability to lead large cross-functional teams and also demonstrable experience of working and partnering with other engineering and commercial teams.
