Smile Education is currently working with a number of specialist and mainstream schools across the Wolverhampton area that require experienced SEN Teachers to provide flexible cover and additional classroom support. Cover requirements can arise due to staff absence, training, increased pupil needs, intervention programmes, and additional support funding.
Opportunities are available from 1 to 5 days per week, allowing you to choose a schedule that works for you.

Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language Needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties
Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual pupils
Manage behaviour effectively and promote positive outcomes
Work collaboratively with support staff and other professionals
Follow school policies and EHCP targets where requiredEssential RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have recent UK-based teaching experience
Have experience supporting and teaching children with Special Educational Needs
Be confident adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
Be able to work independently and use your own initiative
Be available for day-to-day supply work
Be open to receiving morning calls for same-day cover assignments
Be able to travel to schools across the Wolverhampton area
Be available to work school hours of 8:15am – 3:30pm
Provide a minimum of two professional references covering the last two years, including comments on your work with children
