BMS Optimisation Engineer
Are you an experienced BMS Engineer looking to move beyond traditional service and maintenance work? Do you enjoy analysing building performance, improving control strategies, and helping clients reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions?
We're working with a growing specialist building controls business seeking a BMS Optimisation Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who wants to play a key role in improving building performance across a diverse portfolio of commercial, retail, hospitality and critical environment sites.
London Area

Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on BMS and HVAC control systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve BMS, controls and HVAC-related faults.
Review existing control strategies and identify opportunities for optimisation.
Modify schedules, setpoints and control parameters to improve building performance and energy efficiency.
Capture software backups, point schedules and system data for further analysis and development.
Identify energy-saving, maintenance improvement and decarbonisation opportunities.
Deliver small works, repairs and system improvements.
Produce detailed service and optimisation reports.
Support clients with technical guidance and operational best practices.
Work closely with internal engineering and applications teams to develop optimisation solutions.
Desired Experience
Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS).
Strong fault-finding and service background within controls and HVAC systems.
Knowledge of BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium and/or Cylon.
Understanding of control strategies, plant operation and energy efficiency principles.
Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent desirable).
Ability to communicate technical information clearly with clients and stakeholders.
Self-motivated, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Full UK driving licence.
