Red Sky Personnel are recruiting for multiple Bid Writers to join a leading international engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major civil engineering, transportation, energy, and infrastructure projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented writer with experience producing high-quality bids, proposals, PQQs, and tender submissions to join a well-established Work Winning team and play a key role in securing future projects.
The Role
As a Bid Writer, you will support the development and production of high-quality written submissions for pre-qualification questionnaires, tenders, and client proposals.
Working closely with Bid Managers, Business Development teams, technical specialists, and operational stakeholders, you will be responsible for creating compelling, client-focused content that clearly communicates solutions and helps secure new business opportunities.
This role offers exposure to major infrastructure projects and the opportunity to work within a collaborative and highly successful bid team.
Key Responsibilities
Producing high-quality written responses for PQQs, SQs, tenders, and bid submissions
Writing and developing bespoke content, project case studies, CVs, and supporting documentation
Reviewing tender requirements and ensuring responses fully address client criteria
Editing, proofreading, and formatting submission documents to a consistently high standard
Supporting bid kick-off meetings, review sessions, and progress meetings
Working with subject matter experts to gather information and develop winning content
Supporting storyboarding sessions and content planning activities
Producing supporting graphics, flow charts, organisation charts, and visual content where required
Maintaining and updating bid libraries and document management systems
Reworking and improving existing content for future submissions
Supporting the final production and submission of tender documents within strict deadlines
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Bid Writer, Proposal Writer, Bid Coordinator, or within a similar bid support role
Strong written English and exceptional attention to detail
Experience producing PQQs, SQs, tenders, proposals, or submission documents
Excellent proofreading, editing, and document formatting skills
Ability to work effectively with technical and operational teams
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Degree educated or equivalent experience
Experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, rail, energy, utilities, or the built environment would be advantageous
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite would be beneficial
