About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced HSEQ Professional with experience in similar HSEQ Manager/Senior HSEQ Advisor roles to lead and drive the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality functions forward across the business. The business itself delivers a diverse portfolio of exciting construction projects across the UK for prestigious clients.

This is a key leadership role responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining HSEQ systems while ensuring compliance with UK legislation, ISO standards and client requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with our senior management and project teams to drive a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the implementation and continual improvement of company H&S policies and procedures.

* Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.

* Oversee the existing business management system and gradually align with ISO 9001/14001/45001 for future certifications and reviews.

* Lead with further migration of HSEQ site documentation onto our electronic system (innDex).

* Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements where required as well as working with project teams to review site-specific and contractor ones.

* Carry out site inspections and audits.

* Investigate incidents when they arise including, injuries, damages and near misses.

* Produce toolbox talks, safety bulletins and presentations for rolling out across the business.

* Assess and lead the training matrix and standards for safeguarding the business and it’s employees.

Requirements

Essential

* Previous experience in a HSEQ Manager/Senior Advisor role within Construction.

* Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.

* Experience managing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.

* NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.

* Strong auditing, reporting and organisational skills.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.

* Lead Auditor qualification.

* Environmental IEMA qualification.
