A leading ductwork specialist is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join its growing team based at Crossways Business Park in Dartford. This is an office-based role offering the opportunity to manage projects from initial survey through to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site surveys and undertake accurate on-site measurements.
Produce and review technical drawings using AutoCAD (essential).
Manage projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring quality, programme, and commercial objectives are achieved.
Liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Oversee contract administration under both NEC and traditional forms of contract.
Prepare cost plans, take-offs, and support value engineering initiatives.
Monitor project margins and maintain commercial control throughout delivery.
Develop and manage project programmes, resource allocation, and scheduling.
Handle variations, final accounts, and contribute to overall project profitability.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Requirements
Proven experience in a Project Engineer or similar project delivery role within construction, building services, HVAC, ductwork, or a related industry.
Strong AutoCAD skills are essential.
Experience carrying out site surveys and taking accurate measurements.
Knowledge of project and contract management, including NEC and traditional contracts.
Strong commercial awareness, including P&L understanding, variation management, and final accounts.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
