T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Coalville for a Production Manager to join their team on a Permanent basis.

Production Manager Job Details & Benefits;
£40 000.00 circa depending on experience
Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm & Friday 7:30am-1pm
Long Service Award

Production Manager Job Duties;
To be the business lead on all matters concerning the production
To manage the Departments Training Plans and to ensure all employees are multi skilled across the various Production activities, maintaining Competency Matrix, Individual training plans and Appraisals
To actively lead the Production Team Leaders by means of coaching, mentoring and guidance
To regularly liaise with other managers ensuring Production Schedules are delivered to the Production Lines to carry out the appropriate builds
Maintain positive working relations with key stakeholders within the business
Estimate costs and prepare budgets in line with Operational objectives
Ensure production is carried out within the timeframes set to meet loading deadlines and ultimately the successful dispatch to the customers
To ensure product quality is maintained in line with the businesses Quality Management systems
In conjunction with the Production Team Leaders ensure adequate resources (workforce, raw materials etc.) are in place to meet daily targets
To liaise with Stock control to ensure stock levels are sufficient to achieve build program
Oversee regular stock checks, identifying potential shortfalls
Support the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, model change and pilot builds
To manage the Production teams time, attendance and bonus scheme
To accurately collate the Departments statistical data for analysis and review
Daily, weekly, monthly reporting of departments KPI’s, providing regular reports for performance, safety and training outcomes to senior management
In conjunction with the other operations managers, oversee the cleanliness of the yard
To Manage all Human Resource and Employee relations requirements of the Production department
Production Manager Person Specification;
Previous management experience is essential
To be able to demonstrate coaching, mentoring and employee relations skills
Proficient in MS Office and ERP software. (SAP)
Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
Experience in reporting on key production metrics
