Senior Site Manager / Site Manager - South Coast
Salary: £57,000 - £66,000 + Car Allowance & Benefits

About the Role
Due to continued growth and the award of several major schemes across the South Coast, a leading main contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Site Manager in Southampton to support delivery across its expanding project portfolio.This particular role will see you working on a £20 million scheme, taking responsibility for the management and delivery of internal packages, reporting into a site-based Project Manager.With a strong pipeline of secured work and multiple live projects, this is part of a wider recruitment drive, offering long-term opportunity within a stable and growing business delivering high-quality schemes across the region.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Delivery & Coordination
Lead the delivery of internal fit-out packages on a large-scale project
Manage subcontractors to ensure works are completed on time and to programme
Work closely with the Project Manager to drive overall site performance
Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutionsHealth, Safety & Quality
Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety standards and company procedures
Maintain high levels of quality control across all internal elements
Conduct regular site inspections, inductions, and toolbox talksLogistics & Planning
Support short-term programming and lookahead planning
Coordinate sequencing of trades and ensure efficient workflow across packages
Manage site logistics relating to internal worksStakeholder Management
Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and the wider project team
Maintain clear communication across all stakeholders
Support the Project Manager in ensuring successful project deliveryWhat We're Looking For
Proven experience working as a Senior Site Manager OR an experienced Site Manager stepping up
Strong background managing internal packages on large-scale projects (£10m+)
Experience with a Tier One contractor or large regional contractor
Excellent knowledge of fit-out sequencing, finishes, and quality control
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and workstreams simultaneously
Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
Proactive, driven, and hands-on approach
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
