September Start | Long-Term Role | Full-Time
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school from September. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering an excellent opportunity to inspire students and develop their musical abilities across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will be passionate about music education, committed to delivering engaging lessons, and capable of fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
The Role
As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality music lessons that encourage creativity, performance skills, and musical appreciation. You will play a key role in supporting students' academic progress while helping to develop their confidence and enthusiasm for music.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour and learning.
Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations where applicable.
Organise and support musical performances, concerts, productions, and extracurricular activities.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Performing Arts department and wider school community.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to departmental planning and development.
Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all students.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
The ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student development.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.
