A leading Mechanical Engineering company operating across multiple sites in the UK is looking to add an entry level Health & Safety Officer to their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kickstart or develop their career in Health & Safety, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic engineering environment who are based in East Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety policies and procedures
* Assist with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
* Conduct site inspections and audits across various UK locations
* Help investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring lessons learned are captured
* Promote a strong Health & Safety culture across the business
* Maintain accurate H&S documentation and records
* Provide administrative support to the wider H&S team
About You
* Holds a NEBOSH Certificate OR currently working towards NEBOSH qualification
* Strong interest and passion for Health & Safety
* Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced engineering environment
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage with site teams
* Full UK driving licence (desirable due to travel requirements)
No prior experience required just the right attitude and desire to build a career in Health & Safety.
