Hydraulic Technician - Aberdeen
KBM Resourcing are working with a leading engineering co, specialising in offshore handling and deployment equipment who are recruiting for an experienced Hydraulic Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business supporting the energy sector.
Role Overview
You will be involved in the build, maintenance, and testing of hydraulic systems used in offshore equipment, including winches, A-frames, tensioners, and handling systems. The role is primarily workshop-based, with potential involvement in rig testing and mobilisation scopes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assembly, maintenance and overhaul of hydraulic systems on offshore equipment
* Fault finding and diagnostics on hydraulic circuits, pumps, valves and control systems
* Testing and commissioning of equipment such as winches, lifting systems and deployment frames
* Interpreting hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings
* Ensuring all work is completed in line with quality and HSEQ standards
Requirements
* Previous experience working with hydraulic systems in an oil & gas, subsea or marine environment
* Strong understanding of high-pressure hydraulic circuits and components
* Experience working on large-scale or heavy engineering equipment (e.g. winches, cranes, or similar systems)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Proactive approach with strong fault-finding capability
Package
* Salary: £42,000 - £47,000
* Overtime paid at 1.5x
* 38 hours per week:
0730 to 1600 Mon To Thurs
1400 finish on a Friday
