Production Operative

Gap personnel is recruiting multiple food production Operatives to join our client’s seafood processing team based in shoeburyness.

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Variety of shifts Monday to Sunday, varying shift times apply so will require flexible workers
Type: Temporary – Ongoing
Location: Shoeburyness

Key Duties:

Picking raw seafood products and monitoring the cleaning process
Carrying out quality checks on raw and cooked products.
Cooking raw seafood as per production requirements.
Operating machinery safely and efficiently.
Sorting and preparing cans to ensure correct processing and labelling.
Performing final quality checks and preparing products for dispatch by loading onto trolleys.
Adhering to safe operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
Cleaning down the factory at the end of the day, following strict food safety guidelines.
Requirements:

Experience in food production is desirable, but full training will be provided
Strong attention to detail and good hygiene practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, chilled environment
Team player with a positive attitude
No shellfish allergies
Food Hygiene & H&S training required (provided by gap personnel)
