Are you a newly qualified or soon-to-be qualified accountant looking for your first move into a truly commercial, business-facing role? This is an excellent opportunity to step into a Site Accountant position with a clear progression pathway, where you’ll gain hands-on operational experience, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the chance to shape financial performance in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
You’ll be supported by an experienced finance team committed to your ongoing development, giving you the tools, mentorship, and exposure needed to accelerate your career.
What You’ll Be Doing Own Your Site
Take responsibility for financial reporting and performance at a key operational site
Partner closely with site leadership to influence decisions and drive performance
Learn how finance directly impacts operational successDevelop Commercial Insight
Deliver weekly and monthly reporting (P&L, KPI analysis, balance sheet)
Provide meaningful commentary and actionable insights
Support decision-making through analysis and business partneringBuild Strong Financial Foundations
Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with company standards
Maintain balance sheet integrity, including accrals and provisionsDrive Performance & Efficiency
Support budget holders with spend and cost analysis
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvementGet Operational Exposure
Gain experience in stock and inventory accounting
Work alongside operational teams to understand the full business cycle
Develop exposure across multiple sitesWhat We’re Looking For Essential
Recently qualified or finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in finance or management accounting
Strong analytical mindset with a desire to learn
Confident communicator with non-finance stakeholders
Ambitious and keen to progress quicklyDesirable
Exposure to operational or site-based finance
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or stock
Strong Excel or ERP system knowledgeWorking Pattern & Flexibility We offer a structured but flexible hybrid working model designed to support both development and work-life balance:
3 days per week on-site in Telford (your primary base)
1 day per week at another site, giving you broader exposure across the business
1 day per week working from home
With workflow flexibility, some weeks can allow up to 2 days working from homeThis balance ensures you gain valuable face-to-face operational experience while maintaining flexibility.
