Operations Manager
Location: Didcot
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the operational functions of a growing UK business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive operational efficiency, implement scalable processes, manage administrative teams, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Build, document, and improve operational processes to support growth and scalability.
Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements and automation solutions.
Support budgeting, financial reporting, and operational planning.
Coordinate activities between UK-based teams and international stakeholders.
Manage contracts and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Oversee procurement, inventory management, shipping, and receiving activities.
Manage facilities and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
Lead UK-based administrative staff and oversee day-to-day administrative functions.
Support employee onboarding, orientation, and HR-related activities.
Requirements
8+ years' experience in operations, management, or project management roles.
Proven experience building and improving operational systems and processes.
Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
Knowledge of contract management and regulatory requirements; export control experience is advantageous.
Experience with government-funded projects or contracts (e.g. Innovate UK) is desirable.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
