This will require you to be active and observant throughout the day ensuring standards are maintained. You will also be the first point of contact for the beet growers dealing with their enquiries and complaints as they arise, together with some basic documentation and recording of activities. You will also seek continuous improvement opportunities to enhance performance and operations.
What you’ll bring:
Excellent spoken and written English
Ability to follow rules and procedures and to be comfortable challenging non-conformances when they arise
Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with people across all levels with tact and discretion
Computer literate and able to input data accurately.
Experience using Microsoft Excel
Organised and methodical with attention to detail

Must live within a reasonable distance of the site.
Awareness of Health and Safety procedures and safe working practices.
You will be based at the British Sugar Factory, Wissington and will work alongside British Sugar staff as they operate the beet intake for the seasonal campaign. You may from time to time be required to cover shifts at other sites, for which you will be paid mileage and hours on site at time and a quarter.
Why choose us?
Join us and you’ll find an organisation that encourages and enables you to achieve your full potential. In return you will be rewarded with a full range of benefits including:
Competitive shift pay
Company funded health Cashplan
Competitive Pension and Life assurance
5.6 weeks’ annual leave per year (pro-rata)
1 additional NFU day paid at the end of the campaign, contingent on attendance and completion of the full campaign
Employee Assistance Programme to help you deal with life’s challenges
Death in service life assurance
Full training and PPE are provided
Who we are
Every day, we're the voice of around 43,000 British farmers and growers who produce food, making sure their concerns are heard at the heart of government both online and locally. This means developing strong relationships with everyone from NFU colleagues to government ministers. So, as well as having a high profile in both the media and Westminster, we work with and support local members through a network of regional and county offices across England and Wales.
