A market-leading FMCG production business require an Operations Manager to lead site packing operations. Applicants need a proven track-record in production or manufacturing leadership, be capable of thriving in a fast-paced FMCG production business, a strong continuous improvement and LEAN mindset, and a great people-person and leader.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating fulfilment activities to ensure orders are picked, processed, and dispatched accurately, on time, and in full.
Specific duties of the Operations Manager include:
Generate, manage, and deliver daily and weekly packing and dispatch plans in line with customer orders and KPIs
Lead labour planning and forecasting across packing teams
Track order progress and adjust plans to ensure OTIF
Lead, coach, and develop packing teams including training, absence, and performance management
Drive continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reduce waste
Coordinate with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure aligned order fulfilment
Support implementation of new tools, systems, and packing processes
Operations Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
Operations, fulfilment, logistics, supply chain, or production experience within a production, FMCG, food, manufacturing, or distribution environment
Strong understanding of labour planning, order fulfilment, and cost control
Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / 5S experience beneficial)
