About the Role
A highly regarded and sought-after primary school in Blackburn is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join from September 2026. This part-time role offers the opportunity to lead and develop SEND provision within a supportive and inclusive school environment.
You will play a central role in ensuring high-quality support for pupils with additional needs, working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to promote strong outcomes for all learners.
Key Responsibilities
Lead SEND provision across the school
Oversee EHCP applications, reviews, and compliance
Support and advise teaching staff on effective SEN strategies
Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals
Monitor pupil progress and impact of interventions
Contribute to whole-school inclusion and development plans
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified teacher with SENCO experience or NASENCO qualification (or working towards)
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
Primary school experience essential
Passionate about inclusion and pupil progress
Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
