If you have a solid practical background in mechanical, electrical, or HVAC/plumbing disciplines and want a role focused entirely on accurate data collection and visual technical surveying without the site politics, this contract lets you hit the ground running straight away.

The Role As an M&E Asset Condition Inspector, you’ll:

Conduct Asset Inspections: Perform high-volume, visual condition surveys of building services, mechanical plants, and electrical systems across a diverse estate portfolio.
Manage Mobile Data Collection: Utilise the client's proprietary tablet software application to accurately capture asset data, log conditions, and upload field information in real-time.
Assess Lifecycles & Efficiency: Evaluate asset serviceability, note technical deficiencies, and advise on baseline compliance and efficiency standards.
Maintain Survey Timelines: Work independently to hit daily site allocation targets, ensuring data consistency and quality control across all inspected locations. You To be successful in this contract role, you’ll bring:

Core Trades Background: Proven practical experience within a mechanical engineering, electrical installations, plumbing, or Hard FM maintenance discipline.
Strong Tech Literacy: High competency using tablets and mobile surveying applications; you must be comfortable learning and navigating new asset-logging software quickly.
Inspection Eyeball: A sharp understanding of commercial M&E systems, fair wear-and-tear assessment, and standard industry compliance factors.
