Junior / Assistant Administrator
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
A well-established and growing civil engineering contractor based in Redditch is seeking a Junior / Assistant Administrator to join their busy and friendly office team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and motivated individual looking to develop their administration career within the construction and civil engineering sector. Full training and support will be provided, making this role suitable for candidates with some administration experience or those looking to take the next step in their career.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to various departments across the business, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the office and supporting project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Answering incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
• Managing emails, correspondence and filing systems
• Assisting with document control and project administration
• Processing purchase orders, invoices and supplier documentation
• Updating company databases, spreadsheets and internal systems
• Supporting health and safety administration and compliance records
• Assisting with workforce records, timesheets and training documentation
• Preparing reports, letters and general administrative documentation
• Providing support to management and operational teams as required
Candidate Requirements
• Previous administration experience preferred
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively within a busy environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable
• Experience within construction, civil engineering or a related industry
• Familiarity with document management systems
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
