We are looking for a motivated, Maintenance Engineer (mechanical bias), ideally with some electrical knowledge, to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production machinery and facilities. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and supporting continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance across machinery and facilities
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Contribute to process improvement and machinery efficiency initiatives
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and workshop standards
- Support shift handovers and provide guidance to operational staff
Skills & Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience, ideally with electrical knowledge
- Experience in a manufacturing, printing, or production environment preferred
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safe systems of work (permits, risk assessments, method statements)
- Excellent communication skills, flexible and proactive approach
- Microsoft Office competency
- Driving license desirable; FLT & IPAF certification advantageous
