Looking for a Quality Engineer to join a growing company that assembles special purpose high value machinery in Accrington, Lancashire.

Supporting operational excellence through defect prevention, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and robust quality systems implementation. Working closely with the Assembly, Quality, Design, Supply Chain, and Machine Shop departments.

* Developing, implementing, and improving quality standards and procedures.

* Drive efficiency and cost reduction to maintain productivity through projects with a continuous improvement mindset.

* Conduct internal audits and support external / customer audits.

* Provide APQP experience & knowledge of quality systems.

* Quality approval of engineering change processes.

* PFMEA / Problem solving skills.

* NPI guidance and development

Ideal candidate experience:

* Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering or related discipline.

* Experience in manufacturing quality engineering.

* Strong knowledge of root cause tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).

* Experience with FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP (where applicable).

* Understanding of Lean / Six Sigma principles.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration ability.

Salary is up to £50,000, 38 hour working week, flexible working patterns and health cash plan
